This Forum teaches about various sacred sex societies that have existed throughout the world in history. It also puts history in perspective so that it can be understood in the context of our evolving society -- where we have been and where we are heading as a civilization.
You do NOT need to read this Forum to practice & enjoy sacred sex. Browse it if the subject interests you. Its purpose is to give some perspective on sacred sex, and to show that it is not an isolated or insignificant part of human history. Rather, it has been a widespread practice with near global influence that is still evident today. What's more, it is at the very core of our human spirit and is guiding society to sexual enlightenment -- a state in which every man & woman is whole in Sacred Union.
Topics need not be read in sequence, nor do you need to read them all.
Each Topic stands on its own. However, there are a few tips to enhance your learning:
The first three Topics explain general principles relating to the entire Forum; they give the perspective with which to view the other lessons.
The next six Topics teach about different sacred sex cultures. They are in somewhat historical sequence, but you can easily skip ones that don't interest you. The Topic, 'Sacred Sex from Mid-East to West' includes an overview of western sexuality up to our current age.
The final Topic, 'East Meets West: Global Sexual Union', explains where we are heading as a society. It is a good conclusion to the Forum.
History Disclaimer: The Sacred Sex Tradition Forum is different from other forums on this site. Whereas other forums mainly present original knowledge explaining sacred sex and related themes in the nature of life, this forum includes historical data and interpretation gleaned from other sources. While every effort is made to present this information in a truthful and unbiased way, some points are open to question. If you are aware of factual errors in the material, please contact Gary Joseph, or better, post your response in the appropriate forum topic for open consideration and debate.
Tha author is neither an educated historian or theologian, nor a research scholar. This forum is not a rehash of history presented by others; it offers fresh insight and perspective on our understanding of history, making it both interesting and relevant to modern life.
Note that even major errors in this material, if proven to exist, do not undermine the truth about sacred sex itself or its relevance to life. At most, they alter our understanding of its history in the world, but do not lessen its present significance.
NOTE: Only 'Early Sacred Sex Societies' is complete at this time. It details the origins of sacred sex in the cradle of civilization and lays a foundation for discussion of later cultures.
