Dear Friends of the Society for Sacred Sexuality,

I would like to take this opportunity to wish you & yours a happy, successful, and fulfilling new year. At this time of new beginnings, it is useful to take stock of past achievements, and set goals for the coming year.

2005 has brought a new face to the Society for Sacred Sexuality. Our project of re-designing our website is all but complete, and we now have a look that dignifies our sacred sex teaching. We feel this will go a long way toward attracting new members and reaching more people. If you haven't visited the site lately, we invite you to do so. Following are links to some of our new pages:

Feel free to comment on our new design in our Feedback Forum. Email the Webmaster if you experience any display problems, etc.

We are also pleased to announce the posting of our new Sacred Sex Text Archive. This collection of sacred sex quotes, excerpts, and full translations from scriptures around the world is one of the largest on the Internet today. Archives include various Tantras, the Kama Sutra, Ananga Ranga, Hieros Gamos, and others from the Middle East and Far East, with more on the way. In longer texts, such as the Kama Sutra for example, we have included only the most useful & relevant passages, so you can read it without getting bogged down in out-dated material.

And coming soon -- our Sacred Sex Art Archive featuring sacred erotica from around the world!

For 2006, we plan to complete the major part of our Learning Center Forums that present our sacred sex teaching. In recognition of that, we are naming 2006 'The Year of Sacred Sex Wisdom'. For many, sacred sex teaching is mainly about techniques for improving your sex life. Sacred sex wisdom however, is different -- it is the knowledge of how to transform sex into a spiritual experience. This is the kind of teaching we will be presenting in our Forums. We encourage everyone to participate in the discussions, ask questions, and share experiences and insights.

This naming of the year will also be a new Society for Sacred Sexuality tradition -- we will give each coming year a name befitting our desires & goals for the year.

Please note that we will soon be switching to a members-only format for our sacred sex lesson forum. This means you will have to log in to view the lessons. In the coming months, we will begin charging a small fee for access to the lessons, to support SSS activities. This charge will be for NEW MEMBERS ONLY -- current members, such as yourself, will continue to have free access to all lessons. This is our way of saying thanks to our founding members. We encourage you to invite your friends to join soon, before the fee structure takes effect. All other areas of the site will remain free to everyone.

The Society for Sacred Sexuality enjoyed steady growth in membership and traffic to our site in 2005. We thank you for your support, and look forward to new achievements and expansion in 2006 and beyond.
