coming to terms with the Earth Posted: May 15, 2005 |

In times past spiritual practice was focused on raising the vibration of the physical body to a level where spirit could gain entry more fully - a raising above the earth of our consciousness yet still connected to Earth.
The challenge now is to "get into our body" as most of our time is spent in our emotions and heads. We have not gone beyond our bodies, we have in a sense denied them. Our society has very little real respect for the body or the Earth thus the rape and pillaging of both through chemicals/ pesticides/ food additives. We believe we can act without regard for what we put into both and we are mightily perplexed at the resuluts of our "evolution".
It's not nice to try to fool Mother Nature as we are discovering. Environmental pollution is wreaking havoc in our earth atmosphere and soil and especially in men's physical bodies producing impotent men* at increasingly younger ages. The feminizing influence of environmental pollutants{ girls are developing breasts and entering menses at inceasingly younger ages as well} is NOT THE RETURN TO THE GODDESS but an emasculation of the culture. We need masculinity and femininity in balance if we are to thrive as a society. This calls for "A return to the Goddess" a genuine reconnection with Earth and body as means to become grounded: actually be on Earth and in our body as we develop spiritually, mentally and emotionally in our quest for the SUN/SON of God
* see the article "It's 2005 Do you Know Where Your Sperm Are?" in the May 2005 issue of Hustler Magazine for a thoroughly chilling decription of the horrendous impact of environmental pollutants upon WESTERN DEVELOPED countries {that'd be US folks} Remember what Jesus taught:
"The meek shall inherit the Earth" Co-operating with the Earth and our bodies is one sign of meekness. _________________ To be loved deeply by someone gives you strength, to love someone deeply gives you courage. Lao Tzu |

Co-operating with our Earth body Posted: May 23, 2005 |

Yes, I think it's very valuable to make that connection between our human bodies and our planetary body, and the need to harmonize with both. Spirituality is wholeness, and an enlightened society must be in harmony on ALL levels -- heart, mind, body, soul, & enivronment. Your word 'co-coperate' is right on -- it's not man vs. nature, nor is it even mankind on its own; we are in a cooperative joint venture of life with the universe, and when we kill nature we are only killing ourselves.
In this context though, I also think the opposite extreme is equally destructive -- that of many environmentalists who are anti-progress & anti-business. Humanity is not here to be a spectator, slave, or victim of nature. We are here to work together, and the best way to do that is to promote & support sustainable and holistic business solutions that allow humanity to progress, our economy to evolve, AND our Earth to flourish.
Users are invited to visit the Sacred Sex Economics Forum to see & discuss how to create economic incentives to achieve this. _________________ Sexual union is a mirror of Spiritual Union, and a gateway to direct experience of it. |
